If you open a program in Citrix Workspace, and it opens in a browser window instead of using the desktop client, you will need to switch receivers.

Log Into Citrix Workspace

The Citrix Workspace app (formerly known as Citrix Receiver) allows users to securely access applications, services, and data from several desktop and mobile devices. By using this app, you can get access to all your Software as a Service (SaaS) and web applications, files, and mobile apps instantly. A new version of Citrix Workspace app and Receiver for Windows has been released. Citrix strongly recommends that customers upgrade Citrix Workspace app to version 1904 or later and Receiver for Windows to LTSR 4.9 CU6 version 4.9.6001. The new Citrix Workspace app version is available from the following Citrix website location.

2. The light version, which displays the program in your browser

1. Go to https://remote.engr.wisc.edu.
   
2. In the upper right hand side of the window, select your username, and choose 'Account settings'
   
3. In the window that comes up, choose which receiver you would like to use, the first option for the desktop client, the second option for the web-browser-based interface.
